A bastion of professional journalism as shown below. Managed 2nd place
in 1996-97 but walked away with the title
in 1997-98 before reverting to 2nd in
1998-99 and winning it again in
1999-2000 and 2000-01.
Their WWW site is here.
January 24th- Report on Mixu's wee brothers coming over says
they're here for a trial - total rubbish.
October 29th - Report on the Pars game said it was Sid's first
goal since the start of the season. Wrong he scored against Accies in the
league cup as well.
August 16th - Preview of the St Mirren match says we beat QoS 4-0
last week - it was 4-1. And in a separate article the Bells Cup Qtr final
date is given as Tuesday August 27th (hmm it's the 26th this year boys)
June 21st - Grant Murray's signs for Partick - picture
accompanying it is of our own wonderful Darren Dods.
Falsehood League Standings
My daily read so expect a few entries here. Especially as they tend to
give some coverage to the non-OF teams. Excludes any drivel written by
Bill Leckie who has his own category. Won the
title in 2001-02
March 8th- Report on Clyde win has Weir crossing for Bernard to
get the 3rd. Wrong Maxie supplied the cross
August 11th - Report on the QoS game says Foxy is a "former
Brechin midfielder" - nope he's always been a Saints player, Brechin
was just a loan.
Falsehood League Standings
Sun columnist and reporter with a dodgy quiff and a
wonderful fetish about Barbour jackets. Thinks of himself as the champion
of the underdog but still annoying. Still he pisses off the OF so we can't
complain too much.
Falsehood League Standings
Not a regular read but always good for some errors.
August 3rd- Somehow managed to spell Forsyth correctly in the
match report of the Hamilton cup game and then spelt it Forsythe in the
team list.
Falsehood League Standings
Another honest and fair paper. Excludes the page of McNee rants - he
has his own section (see here).
December 7th- Report on Ross County game says McLaughlin set up
the first goal - wrong it was Chris Hay.
November 9th- Clyde report credits Flash with the cross for the
3rd goal - it was Maxwell.
September 28th- "Peasie" - who the fuck is that
then? Dodgy nickname mentioned in the Falkirk report.
Falsehood League Standings
Reasonable good coverage given that its a Scumdee Daily. Their WWW site
is here
with the Tele at www.eveningtelegraph.co.uk
July 29th - Another mention for Miksu.
June 27th - "Saints new coach Miksu Paatelainen"???
Eh?
Falsehood League Standings
Old Firm are Scottish Football so the rest don't matter - as you might
guess.
March 14th- Three from the Caley game - apparently we thought we'd
won the game when Caley were denied the penalty (it was 2-2 at the time)
and Parker's winner is said to be a 25-yard job. From inside the
box? Finally it seems that the win means we're only 4 points behind Clyde.
More Wegie arithmetic in action.
Actually make that 4 with the classic "McQuilken's swerving
cross found Donnelly, whose glancing header was brilliantly clawed away by
Cuthbert." - Cat plays for Saints not ICT.
March 7th- The caption under the photo of the Saints vs. Clyde
game said the game was played at Mc Diarmid. Don't know what game he was
at then. Thanks to
scotland_rules_the_universe@hotmail.com
January 11th-Outstanding report that we're on the verge of signing
Danny Griffin. That'll be the same Danny Griffin that signed for Stockport
last week.
December 21st- Two from the report on the QoS game. "Paul
Bernard was in from the start" - aye just like every other week.
And apparently one of the Saints players is called "Ian Maxfield".
December 7th- Report on Ross County game describes Parker and
Peaso as midfielders.
November 23rd- Report on Fakirk game says only 1 change from last
week's line-up. Wrong there were 2.
November 9th- Clyde report credits Flash with the cross for the
3rd goal - it was Maxwell.
September 20th- Report on the Raith defeat courtesy of "Colin
Paterson" has a real dig at the fans. But then ends saying how
Gonzales made a great save from Parker at the end - wrong it was the
woodwork that prevented the goal.
August 10th - Sunday Mail at the weekend had a photo of Ryan
Stevenson which it was claiming to be of Martyn Fotheringham. Thanks to
gary@blueheaven.org.uk
July 26th - Right 2 points from their report on the E Fife
friendly. Apparently 2 of our players were a striker called "Keegan"
(no doubt with dodgy perm) and a keeper called "O'Connor"
(which strangely enough is the same name as the East Fife goalie)!!
Falsehood League Standings
The Dundee radio station, famed for Dick Donnelly and George
Duffus - don't take it seriously
Falsehood League Standings
Again, don't expect too much here - Gordon Bannerman and Danny Chalmers
usually know what they're talking about. Their WWW site is
here
March 12th- For the report on the game against Falkirk they had
the stats from the Clyde game. Thanks to
scotland_rules_the_universe@hotmail.com
August 19th- St Midden report gave the score as 1-0 to the Paisley
junkies in the match details caption.
Falsehood League Standings
Frightening how little they know outside the OF Their WWW site is

Aberdeen-based daily with some good coverage of the East Coast teams.

but including On/Off The Ball and the related websites.
August 2nd - When they were giving out the latest scores for the
challenge cup match it said that ROSS HAMILTON! was sent off for
St.Johnstone. He said it twice. Thanks to :scadek@msn.com

"Official" WWW site of the Scottish Footbal League. Good for

April 11th- Raith report in the Herald had Cuthbert playing for

............although Mark Reilly nearly gave Saints victory with a....
last-minute shot which was tipped over by Cuthbert"Thanks to mike.no
spam.wilson@tinyonline.co.uk
November 23rd- "Five minutes from the end, former saint
Kieran McPherson......." WHO? match report from gubbing by
falkirk. Thanks to mike.no spam.wilson@tinyonline.co.uk
Falsehood League Standings
Including Extra Whine - again unlikely to feature much as Perth isn't
in Glasgow and they're too stingy to pay Sky for the rights to show the
matches. After missing out on the start of the season the STV show is back
with Jim "hes a right" Delahunt and Alan "Bankrupt"
McInally 1998-99 champions.
November 30th- Raith report mentions the CIS Cup tie "this
coming Tuesday" - it's Wednesday and we're even playing one of
the Bigot Brothers ferRodSsake.
August 17th - Two points for the media commentary on the St Midden
game which continually referred to Foxy as Baxter.
Falsehood League Standings
Including the Friday Old Firm preview. With rights to the goals from

Falsehood League Standings
STV Sports Editor, ex-Sunday Mail Columnist and the nearest we've got
to a Scottish Jimmy Hill. Now writing for the News Of The World although
with his obsession with Man Utd there is little Scottish content any
more!!!!
Falsehood League Standings
Satellite TV and Teletext for the masses - known to come to McDiarmid
when a defeat is in the air. With the new Scottish Premiership on display
and ex-Scotsport presenter Jim "the Hun" White at the helm
expect a better showing from this mob this season. Also includes On
Digital
November 9th- Coverage of Div 1 top scorers has McConalogue listed
as a Saintee - he's at Clyde.
Falsehood League Standings
Ibrox's most famous St. Mirren fan and living proof that you need
fuck-all knowledge to be a journo.
Falsehood League Standings
Edinburgh daily that will be lucky to mention Saints outside of the Old
Firm meetings this season. Their WWW site is
here
April 11th- Report on Raith game has Hay fouled for the penalty -
it was Taylor
March 14th- Report on ICT win has McLaughlin's header setting up
the 2nd goal - pity it was Mixu

December 7th- Report on Ross County game says McLaughlin set up
the first goal - wrong it was Chris Hay.
September 21st- Report on the Raith defeat has Maxwell's header
hitting the bar - nope it was the post.
July 3rd- Andy McLaren described as a former St Johnstone star.
Falsehood League Standings
Saintees everywhere's favourite ex-Scotsman journalist. Amazing tunnel
vision since based in Embra he seems incapable of dealing with anything
other than the Wegie Unwashed. New for this year since hes bound to cover
some Saints games. Now writing for the Sunday Mason as the replacement for
McNee (some honour eh). This man is the MOST LOATHED journalist
amongst Saints fans.
Falsehood League Standings
Find them at http://www.thetimes.co.uk.
Sunday Times coverage is probably best for falsehoods.
Falsehood League Standings
Not a regular read and probably qualifies for a discount given that its
Manchester based but what the hell. Their WWW site is
here
Falsehood League Standings
As found at
http://www.sporting-life.com/soccer/scotspremteams/stjohnstone.html
- normally a fairly accurate site.
Falsehood League Standings
Free paper distributed in Edinburgh and Glasgow. First year under it's
own heading but given it's tendency to rehash Press Association stories,
expect a few scores.
April 27th- Part of the post-Stark sacking stories we have John
Connolly referred to as a "former McDiarmid Park ace". Only
about 15yrs too early.....
Falsehood League Standings
Not a regular read. Don't expect too much coverage of Saints either.
Falsehood League Standings
Alleged up-to-date phone service for Saints fans. It isn't - Also
available at
http://uk.sports.yahoo.com/foot/engl/t/stjo/index.html.

Feeds most of the newspapers their falsehoods so a good chance of a
decent total.
Falsehood League Standings
October 30th - The Official Saints site previewing the CIS
quarter-final said "This is the first time the two clubs will
have met on 'League Cup' business since 1992 when they contested a
semi-final which Rangers won 3-1" . That rules out the League Cup
final in 1998 then? Thanks to bc0024576@hotmail.com
