A bastion of professional journalism as shown below. Managed 2nd place
in 1996-97 but walked away with the title
in 1997-98 before reverting to 2nd in
1998-99 and winning it again in
1999-2000 and 2000-01.
Their WWW site is here.
April 5th - Alan Kernaghan reported as being a star of our
1996-1997 promotion campaign - he didn't sign until Sept 97.
June 3rd - Report that we signed Lee Hardy yesterday - actually
the deal was announced on the 1st.
Falsehood League Standings
My daily read so expect a few entries here. Especially as they tend to
give some coverage to the non-OF teams. Excludes any drivel written by
Bill Leckie who has his own category. Won the
title in 2001-02
April 23rd- Preview of Airdrie game has Owen Coyle set to take on
his old side as Raith manager!
January 15th- Preview of Falkirk game has Moore and Tait lining up
to face Saints!!
November 15th - Report on the Ross County game says Chris Hay's
effort hit the post - it was Paul Sheerin.
September 29th - For the Falkirk report, the photo caption says
Peaso got the opener but the report correctly states that it was
Rutkiewicz.
September 1st- Report on the transfer dealings says we've signed "Ryan
Mackay"?
July 28th - Three classics today. An article on Martin Hardie
says he turned down a 6-month deal at Saints - it was Saints that rejected
him. Jordan Tait is described as having signed "last night" - it
was yesterday morning and Alan Reid is described as a defender - he's a
midfielder.
July 22nd - Comment on the Harty saga from Ronnie Mackay mentions
that Martin Hardie also turned us down - em it was the other way about
Falsehood League Standings
Edinburgh daily that will be lucky to mention Saints outside of the Old
Firm meetings this season. Their WWW site is
here
May 1st- Report on the QoS game says we had "Neil Webb"
playing for us.
December 30th - Report on the Accies game mentions our striker
Paul McDonald!
October 24th- Two from the Airdrie report - It was Tait not Baxter
that was penalised for the throw-in and despite the reporter's desire, it
was Hardy not Peaso that was subbed.
September 26th- Report of the Partick game talks about "Martyn
Fotheringham" - it was Kevin Fotheringham.
Falsehood League Standings
Sun columnist and reporter with a dodgy quiff and a
wonderful fetish about Barbour jackets. Thinks of himself as the champion
of the underdog but still annoying. Still he pisses off the OF so we can't
complain too much.
Falsehood League Standings
Not a regular read but always good for some errors.
December 5th- Report of the Partick game talks credits Ian
McCann with the goal - it was Ryan. Thanks to scobby28@hotmail.com.
Falsehood League Standings
Another honest and fair paper. Excludes the page of McNee rants - he
has his own section (see here).
Falsehood League Standings
Reasonable good coverage given that its a Scumdee Daily. Their WWW site
is here
with the Tele at www.eveningtelegraph.co.uk
Falsehood League Standings
Old Firm are Scottish Football so the rest don't matter - as you might
guess. Winners in 2003-04
January 16th - From the report of the Falkirk game they have Alan
Ferguson in goal for us and Peaso setting up a Keyring shot (Moore did the
work). Oh aye and Chris Hay is refered to as a "Celtic striker"
- not the missing adjective "Former". 3 points.
August 8th- Report of the first game said "David Hannah,
Paul Sheerin and Kevin Rutkiewicz all made their debuts" - em
they also made their debuts last week against Accies?
Falsehood League Standings
The Dundee radio station, famed for Dick Donnelly - don't take
it seriously
Falsehood League Standings
Again, don't expect too much here - Gordon Bannerman usually knows what
he's talking about, even if the editor doesn't. Their WWW site is
here
March 25th- Reported Clyde game was played last Wednesday -it was
last Tuesday.
Falsehood League Standings
Frightening how little they know outside the OF Their WWW site is

Falsehood League Standings
Don't expect too much coverage unless we're playing the Old Firm.
Includes the on-line version.
.Falsehood League Standings
Aberdeen-based daily with some good coverage of the East Coast teams.
Falsehood League Standings
With Saints in the Premier some coverage is guaranteed to be minimal as
last season - see here
for details.

Mainly Radio Scotland. Excluding Chic the Pric (see here)
but including On/Off The Ball and the related websites.
Falsehood League Standings
"Official" WWW site of the Scottish Footbal League. Good for

January 9th- Preview of cup-tie says we had been on a six-game
winning run prior to the County game - wrong.
January 8th- Preview of cup-tie has McGregor in goal despite him
leaving over a week ago.
July 18th- Report of the friendly defeat - "new Brechin
signing Paul Ritchie........tucking away a penalty after Ross Forsyth was
pulled down" - Wrong side - thanks to
mike.wilson@tinyonline.co.uk.
Falsehood League Standings
Including Extra Whine - again unlikely to feature much as Perth isn't
in Glasgow and they're too stingy to pay Sky for the rights to show the
matches. After missing out on the start of the season the STV show is back
with Jim "hes a right" Delahunt and Alan "Bankrupt"
McInally 1998-99 champions.
Falsehood League Standings
Including the Friday Old Firm preview. With rights to the goals from
the SPL this season expect more mistakes than before. Also includes the
BBC On-line service at news.bbc.co.uk
April 4th - Alan Kernaghan reported as being a star of our
1996-1997 promotion campaign - he didn't sign until Sept 97.
January 9th- BBC Website has Saints playing ICT at Pittodrie in
the cup - it's at Dingwall.
November 13th - Report on the Ross County game had McGregor diving
to prevent the equaliser and Hardy and Moore hitting the woodwork. 3
points.
September 25th- Off to another good start with two from the
Partick game. Peaso's 1st goal came from a Moore flick on not a "loose
clearance" and his 2nd was from within the penalty box not an
"impressive 25-yard striker". 2 points.

STV Sports Editor, ex-Sunday Mail Columnist and the nearest we've got
to a Scottish Jimmy Hill. Now writing for the News Of The World although
with his obsession with Man Utd there is little Scottish content any

Falsehood League Standings
Satellite TV and Teletext for the masses - known to come to McDiarmid
when a defeat is in the air. With the new Scottish Premiership on display
and ex-Scotsport presenter Jim "the Hun" White at the helm
expect a better showing from this mob this season.
Falsehood League Standings
Ibrox's most famous St. Mirren fan and living proof that you need
fuck-all knowledge to be a journo.
Falsehood League Standings
Saintees everywhere's favourite ex-Scotsman journalist. Amazing tunnel
vision since based in Embra he seems incapable of dealing with anything
other than the Wegie Unwashed. New for this year since hes bound to cover
some Saints games. Now writing for the Sunday Mason as the replacement for
McNee (some honour eh). This man is the MOST LOATHED journalist
amongst Saints fans.
Falsehood League Standings
Find them at http://www.thetimes.co.uk.
Sunday Times coverage is probably best for falsehoods.
Falsehood League Standings
Not a regular read and probably qualifies for a discount given that its

Free paper distributed in Edinburgh and Glasgow. First year under it's
own heading but given it's tendency to rehash Press Association stories,
expect a few scores.
September 29th - Reports that the score in the Saints v Falkirk
game last night was 2-2.
August 25th- Report that Steven Anderson joined us from Dundee -
actually it was Utd
