A bastion of professional journalism as shown below. Managed 2nd place
in 1996-97 but walked away with the title
in 1997-98 before reverting to 2nd in
1998-99 and winning it again in
1999-2000 and 2000-01.
Their WWW site is here.
September 27th- Preview of Accies semi says we went out to Scumdee
last season - nope it was Falkirk
Falsehood League Standings
My daily read so expect a few entries here. Especially as they tend to
give some coverage to the non-OF teams. Excludes any drivel written by
Bill Leckie who has his own category. Won the
title in 2001-02 and 2004-05
April 17th- Falsehoods galore in the Sun's report on the QoS game.
First up we have Hardie being sent off for using an elbow (nope it was for
a kick). Then Sheerin scored from the edge of the box - nope he was about
8 yards out. Sometimes you have to ask what is the bloody point!!!!
February 13th - Report on the St Mirren game mentions Hardie
scoring a goal chalked off for offside. It was Jason Scotland - not that
they look that different!
December 12th- Reports on Sturrock's collapse says he had one as
Utd gaffer 10 years ago - actually he was in charge of Saints at the time!
October 26th - Hamilton Report mentions Paul "Sheering"!!!
September 26th - Coverage of Clyde game has Paston coming on for
Milne !!!!
August 30th - Match preview of the Partick game mentions "Peasie"
????
August 13th - Match preview of the Accies game says Mark Campbell
was sent off against QoS last week - nope it was at Cowdenbeath on
Tuesday.
Falsehood League Standings
Including the Friday Old Firm preview. With rights to the goals from
the SPL this season expect more mistakes than before. Also includes the
BBC On-line service at news.bbc.co.uk
April 21st- Preview of Accies match talks about goalkeeper
Steven Anderson !!!.
April 1st- Report from the Stranraer match says Jason's hat-trick
was completed when he headed the ball over the line - wrong, the third
goal was a shot.
March 4th- Website has Airdrie beating us 3-2 when it was 2-2!!!!
February 11th- Report on the St Midden game has Sheerin booked
when it was Mensing
November 12th- Ceefax report of Dundee game has Henry limping off
after Paterson and Cuthbert - nope he went off in between
October 22nd- Ceefax and online reports on the QoS game say the
hosts took the lead in the 4th minute - nope we did.
August 9th - Ceefax and online reports on the Cowdenbeath game had
the red cards after the winner. Wrong Campbell was sent off beforehand.
Falsehood League Standings
Edinburgh daily that will be lucky to mention Saints outside of the Old
Firm meetings this season. Their WWW site is
here
January 29th- Brechin report says we had John Sheridan on
the park.
October 30th- Two howlers from the Ross County report - firstly it
was Rustybitz not Mensing that cleared Burke's shot off the line. And
secondly Cuthbert is not the County keeper so he won't save any shot from
Henry.
October 2nd- Report of Stranraer game has Peaso as the scorer - it
was Stevenson!
September 25th - Coverage of Clyde game has Paston coming on for
Milne !!!!
August 14th - Report on the Accies game mentions our fullback "Brian"
Stevenson. Cheers to Dr Dev for that one.
Falsehood League Standings
Sun columnist and reporter with a dodgy quiff and a
wonderful fetish about Barbour jackets. Thinks of himself as the champion
of the underdog but still annoying. Still he pisses off the OF so we can't
complain too much.
Falsehood League Standings
Not a regular read but always good for some errors.
Falsehood League Standings
Another honest and fair paper (aye right). Excludes the page of McNee
rants - he has his own section (see here).
September 19th - Report on Dundee game says Stanic came close with
a header - would be true if his head was on the end of his leg!
Falsehood League Standings
Reasonable good coverage given that its a Scumdee Daily. Their WWW site
is here
with the Tele at www.eveningtelegraph.co.uk
August 17th - E-Tele says that Peaso hasn't featured in the first
team all season - wrong he's come on as a sub in every game!
Falsehood League Standings
Old Firm are Scottish Football so the rest don't matter - as you might
guess. Winners in 2003-04
October 30th- Two howlers from the Ross County report - firstly it
was Rustybitz not Mensing that cleared Burke's shot off the line. And
secondly Cuthbert is not the County keeper so he won't save any shot from
Henry.
Falsehood League Standings
The Dundee radio station, famed for Dick Donnelly - don't take
it seriously
Falsehood League Standings
Again, don't expect too much here - Gordon Bannerman usually knows what
he's talking about, even if the editor doesn't. Their WWW site is
here
August 16th - Report on the Accies game says Oweny hasn't "felt
the need to remove the tracksuit yet" - obviously forgetting his
inspired subs appearance against Alloa. Cheers to Dr Dev for that
one.
Falsehood League Standings
Frightening how little they know outside the OF Their WWW site is
www.scotprem.com
Falsehood League Standings
Don't expect too much coverage unless we're playing the Old Firm.
Includes the on-line version.
.Falsehood League Standings
Aberdeen-based daily with some good coverage of the East Coast teams.
Falsehood League Standings
With Saints in the Premier some coverage is guaranteed to be minimal as
last season - see here
for details.
Falsehood League Standings
Mainly Radio Scotland. Excluding Chic the Pric (see here)
but including On/Off The Ball and the related websites.
March 19h- Report from Dens game had Jason taking a shot at
Glennon in the home goal!!!
Falsehood League Standings
"Official" WWW site of the Scottish Footbal League. Good for
commentaries but some interesting things to say about Saints. Located
here.
Falsehood League Standings
This could be a difficult one - do they actually have any listeners ?
Falsehood League Standings
Onl-line site for the Sun and News of the World. Find
them at http://www.supergoals.com
Falsehood League Standings
Wegie-centric so dont expect too much. Find them at
http://www.theherald.co.uk
April 1st - Apparently in the Stranraer game, it was a tactical
change to bring on Savo and Ryan - no mention of the fact that Anderson
and Goran were actually injured.
March 19th- Has Sheerin taking the corner for the goal at Dens -
actually it was Sheridan
February 12th- Disgrace of a report on the St Midden game has
Mensing confused with Rustybitz!!
Falsehood League Standings
Including Extra Whine - again unlikely to feature much as Perth isn't
in Glasgow and they're too stingy to pay Sky for the rights to show the
matches. After missing out on the start of the season the STV show is back
with Jim "hes a right" Delahunt and Alan "Bankrupt"
McInally 1998-99 champions.
September 11th- Jim Delahunt mentioned someone called "Paul
McDonald" during the Ross County highlights.
Falsehood League Standings
The Guardian version of Soccernet as found at

Falsehood League Standings
STV Sports Editor, ex-Sunday Mail Columnist and the nearest we've got
to a Scottish Jimmy Hill. Now writing for the News Of The World although
with his obsession with Man Utd there is little Scottish content any
more!!!!
Falsehood League Standings
Satellite TV and Teletext for the masses - known to come to McDiarmid

Milne !!!!
August 31st - Skytext report of Partick game says we won 8-7 on
pens - it was 4-3!
Falsehood League Standings
Ibrox's most famous St. Mirren fan and living proof that you need
fuck-all knowledge to be a journo.
Falsehood League Standings
Saintees everywhere's favourite ex-Scotsman journalist. Amazing tunnel
vision since based in Embra he seems incapable of dealing with anything
other than the Wegie Unwashed. New for this year since hes bound to cover
some Saints games. Now writing for the Sunday Mason as the replacement for
McNee (some honour eh). This man is the MOST LOATHED journalist
amongst Saints fans.
Falsehood League Standings
Find them at http://www.thetimes.co.uk.
Sunday Times coverage is probably best for falsehoods.
Falsehood League Standings
Not a regular read and probably qualifies for a discount given that its
Manchester based but what the hell. Their WWW site is
here
Falsehood League Standings
As found at
http://www.sporting-life.com/soccer/scotspremteams/stjohnstone.html
- normally a fairly accurate site.
Falsehood League Standings
Free paper distributed in Edinburgh and Glasgow. First year under it's
own heading but given it's tendency to rehash Press Association stories,
expect a few scores.
Falsehood League Standings
Not a regular read. Don't expect too much coverage of Saints either.
Falsehood League Standings
Alleged up-to-date phone service for Saints fans. It isn't - Also
available at
http://uk.sports.yahoo.com/foot/engl/t/stjo/index.html.

Feeds most of the newspapers their falsehoods so a good chance of a
decent total.
