Alias

Alan Main Jesus - Saves all Jesus was signed from Scumdee Utd in 94-95 to give Blobby Rhodes some competition. Known for his long kicks out and his dribbling skills. outside the box. Signed a new 3 year deal in June 97 and has been called into the Scotland squad (at last) although injury has prevented him making his debut.
Caused a bit of a stir with comments to the media in the wake of Sturrocks departure but won his way back and kept the no. 1 jersey. Despite some callups to the Scotland squad was never capped.
Broke his leg against Well in Sept 2001 and was out for 8 months.
Made his comeback in Sept 2002 but due to the drain his wages put on the finances of Saints in the 1st Division he was sold for a "nominal fee" to "Ambitious" Meadowbank on 28/01/2002. Moved to Gretna in July 2004 on a 3-year deal.
Returned to Saints in June 2007 after a much-publicised spat with Gr£tna on a 2yr contract and quickly re-established himself as number 1. After helping us win the league in 2009 signed another 1yr deal.

Rustybits
Signed as a 24-yr old from Aberdeen in May 2004 after being told his contract wouldn't be renewed at Pittodrie, making him John Connolly's first signing. Solid 6ft tallcentral defender who had been at the Dons since 1998. Signed a 2-year deal through to 2006 and followed it up with a two year extension. Extended his deal and after skippering the side to the title in 2009 extended his contract to 2011.
Steven Anderson Steven Anderson Pamela, Ando 18-yr old ex-Arabs right-sided youth player who played a couple of trial games before signing a deal until the end of the season and extended it to May 2006. Had a decent run in the 2005-06 season at both right-back and in a back 3 before finally agreeing a further 1-yr deal in June 2006. Signed a new 1yr one in May 2007 with a 2yr extension following up in October after some good performances at centre-half. That was followed by a new 2yr contract in April 2010.

Joined Saints on a 6-month loan deal on Dec 31st 2007 with a view to a permanent move. Spent most of that out with injury but signed a 2yr deal in May 2008 and added another year through to summer 2011.

Came from Drogheda United and is a left-sided central defender but can play at left-back. Signed a 1 year extension in summer 2009. That was followed by a new 2yr contract in April 2010.
Dave Mackay. Dave Mackay Cup-tie 29yr old ex-Scum and Livi defender who after not getting much in the way of wages saw the light and signed for Saints on a 2yr contract in the summer of 2009.
Danny Grainger. Danny Grainger 22yr old left back who signed from Tannadump in July 2009 on a 2yr deal for between 30 and 50 grand. Previously at Gr£tna but we won't hold that against him.
Mark Connolly Mark Connolly 18-yr old Irishman who signed on Feb 1st 2009 on loan from Bolton until the end of the season. He's an Irish youth international captain and moved from Wolves to West Brom for £1m in the past. Plays at centre-half.
Michael Duberry Michael Duberry Doobs 34-yr old ex-Chelsea and Leeds defender who was signed as a stopgap in February 2009 until the end of the season. He'd previously been at Wycombe Wanderers but his contract was cancelled by mutual consent.

Midfielders

Paul Sheerin. Photo copyright PPA (www.ppapix.co.uk). Used with permission. Paul Sheerin Peanut 29-yr old ex-Ayr and ICT midfielder who signed a 2-yr deal on a free transfer in July 2004 after a spell at Aberdeen didn't work out. Good attacker with a decent goals-to-game ratio.
Signed a new 1yr deal in May 2006 and another a year later and kept the pattern going with the latest 1yr deal signed in summer 2009. Combines this with some coaching of the U-17s

Triple-M
29-yr old midfielder who joined from Airdrie in Jan 2006 on a deal until the summer of 2008. A hard tackler, he almost came to Saints a couple of times before but fitness worries prevented any move. Previously at Partick and Killie, he's more famous for drunken exploits up scaffolding while on a club jaunt to Blackpool during his spell at Firhill.
Easily one of the best players in the 2006-07 season. Missed a large part of 2007-08 through injury but signed a 2yr extension in April 08.
Kevin Moon. Photo copyright PPA (www.ppapix.co.uk). Used with permission. Kevin Moon Mooner Attacking midfielder who joined the groundstaff in June 2004.Played a few reserve games in 2003-04 and already has the makings of a cult hero. Signed a new 1-yr deal in April 2005 and another a year later.
Went out on loan to Forfar in August 2006 until Xmas and then extended until the end of the season. Signed a new 1yr deal in April 2008 and followed it up with a two year extension in January 2009.

Liam Craig 21-yr old left-sided defender / midfielder who joined from Falkirk on a month's loan at the start of December 2007. Impressed greatly and enjoyed his spell so much he signed a pre-contract deal in April 08 for a 3yr spell.
Jody Morris.  Photo copyright PPA (www.ppapix.co.uk). Used with permission. Jody Morris 29-yr old former Chelsea and Millwall star who signed on a short-term deal in Feb 2008 till the end of the season. Played 129 times for the London club and won a European Cup Winnners Cup medal with them.
Managed 10 games before the end of the season and then signed a 2yr contract in May 2008. Extended the deal in October 2009 for another 2yrs through to the summer 2012.

Chris Millar 23yr old former Celtic youth player who spent 5yrs at Morton before joining Saints in May 2008 on a 2yr contract. Well known for his boy-band activities and karaoke performances at the end of the season. Signed a new 2yr deal in December 2009.
Murray Davidson Murray Davidson Muzz 20yr old midfielder who signed a 3yr deal for move from Livi to Saints in the summer of 2009. Highly-rated and has been called up to the U-21 squad already
Filipe Morais. Photo copyright PPA (www.ppapix.co.uk). Used with permission. Filipe Morais 21yr old Portuguese winger who signed from Millwall on loan until the summer. Scored a couple of goals and added some real flair to the side although picked up his share of bookings and a red card. Returned to the New Den in May 2007 where he was placed on the transfer list that summer and moved to Hibs.
Went to Caley Thistle and returned as a 23yr old on a years contract in the summer of 2009.
Josh Falkingham Josh Falkingham 19yr old ex-Leeds midfielder apparently in the David Batty mould who trained for a spell in March 2010. Injuries and squad shortages saw him signed up until the summer of 2010

20-yr old Huns youth policy product signed for £125,000 on 03/08/01. Scored 16 goals for the Huns U-21s in 2000-01 and has signed a 3-year deal.
More of a poacher than an out-and-out striker he lost some respect with the Saints fans thanks to his pro-Hunnery views in the tabloids. Still has a lot to prove.
Signed a new 1-yr deal in summer 2004 and followed that up with a 3-yr contract in Feb 2005. Signed on for another 2 years in 2008.
Andy Jackson. Photo copyright PPA (www.ppapix.co.uk). Used with permission. Andy Jackson Jacko Born in 1988. Joined the groundstaff in June 2004. Played a few reserve games in 2003-04. First team debut was against Forfar in a pre-season game on 13/07/04.
Awarded with a new 2-yr deal in March 2005. Moved on loan to Cowdenbeath to gain match experience in August 2005. Made several appearances off the bench in 2006-07 and signed a new 1yr deal in May 07.
Scored his first Saints goal in the Challenge Cup at Dingwall on 05/09/07 and a good run of form led to a 2yr extension to his deal being signed in October.
Earned his first U-21 cap for the Republic of Ireland on Aug 19th 2008.

Steven Milne Savo Ex-Scumdee 25-yr old striker who signed a 3yr deal with Saints in June 2005 after an unsuccessful spell at Plymouth. Excellent striker but suffered niggling knee injuries which kept him out of most of the 2006-07 season. Scored twice in Nov 2006 in the win at Ibrox.
Signed a contract extension in December 2007 through to the summer of 2010 followed by a 1yr extension to 2011.
Collin Samuel. Photo copyright PPA (www.ppapix.co.uk). Used with permission. Collin Samuel Sammy 26yr old Trinidad and Tobago striker who came to prominence with Falkirk. A move to Tannadump with Dundee Utd followed before he headed to Canada and a spell with Toronto FC. Signed for Saints on 06/05/2008 with a 2-year contract.

Kenny Deuchar Doctor Goals 27yr old Gr£tna striker who's out of favour with the so-called dream team. 6ft 3 target man and a qualified doctor, he signed on a loan deal for the first half of 2007. He spends every Wednesday working at a hospital in Wishaw saving Wegies.
Scored his first Saints goal in the Challenge Cup at Dingwall on 05/09/07 and banged in his last on Dec 1st against Partick after a more than successful loan spell. Not someone we'd be sad to see return to McDiarmid.
And guess what - he came back in June 2009 on a 1yr contract after a spell in the States and at Accies.

Previously had spells on loan at Plymouth and Motherwell with little return. His first goals came from a double against Hibs in the 5-1 win.

Backroom Staff

Derek McInnes Del, Tango 35yr old veteran of many clubs and sunbeds who signed on New Years Day 2007 until the end of the season in a player-coach role. Solid attacking midfielder who had spells at TFOD, Morton, Arabs and WBA. Signed a 1yr extension in May after being an almost ever-present for the closing stages of the season.
Took over as manager following the departure of Sandy Stewart and Owen Coyle to Burnley. His appointment was made on Nov 27th 2007 with a 2 1/2 year contract, with a 1yr extension following in October 2009 after leading us to the SPL.

Alec Cleland Former Arabs, TFOD and Everton defender who was brought in as U-19 coach in the summer of 2009, a role he'd been successful at the previous season with Caley Thistle before their relegation saw him a victim of the cutbacks.

Despite the fiasco of the Totten sacking has the backing of most fans. Currently celebrating 15 years at the helm and is the longest-serving chairman in Scotland. One of the prime movers behind the new SPL but then nobody's perfect.
Recuperating after a July 2001 operation for prostate cancer he's taking more and more of a back role in the club's affairs.
Stewart Duff. Photo copyright PPA (www.ppapix.co.uk). Used with permission. Stewart Duff Chief executive. Runs the club well financially but recent years have seen increased criticism of his people skills by the supporters with the Rangers ticket Fiasco of Easter 2000 probably the worst case.
Super Saint. Photo copyright PPA (www.ppapix.co.uk). Used with permission. SUPER SAINT All-round superhero launched in April 2000 as Saints get on the SPL mascot bandwagon. Based on the legendary adventures in the Saints program as accompanied by ORMOND the Wonder Dog. Retired after several years of antics that failed to win up the opposition.
Tommy Campbell. Photo copyright PPA (www.ppapix.co.uk). Used with permission. Tommy Campbell Took over as Youth Development Officer in June 2003. Was in charge of the youth set up in the late 80s, early 90s before spells managing Forfar, Arbroath and Montrose.
Aggie Moffat Tea lady and cult heroine. Legendary for a rammy with Graeme Souness when the Huns came to visit Perth. Souness quit Scotland not long after which says it all really. The only non-playing member of staff to ever appear on a Saints official team photo (93-94).
