Alan Main | Jesus - Saves all | Jesus was signed from Scumdee
Utd in 94-95 to give Blobby some competition. Now firmly established in
goal for the boys. Known for his long kicks out and his dribbling skills
outside the box. Signed a new 3 year deal in June 97 and has been called
into the Scotland squad (at last) although injury has prevented him
making his debut. Caused a bit of a stir with comments to the media in the wake of Sturrocks departure but has won his way back and kept the no. 1 jersey. Despite some callups to the Scotland squad was never capped. Broke his leg against Well in Sept 2001 and is out for 8 months. Made his comeback in Sept 2002 but due to the drain his wages put on the finances of Saints in the 1st Division he was sold for a "nominal fee" to "Ambitious" Meadowbank on 28/01/2002. Moved to Gretna in July 2004 on a 3-year deal. Returned to Saints in June 2007 after a much-publicised spat with Gr£tna on a 2yr contract. |

Kevin Rutkiewicz | Ruti Rustybits |
Signed as a 24-yr old from Aberdeen in May 2004 after being told his contract wouldn't be renewed at Pittodrie, making him John Connolly's first signing. Solid 6ft tallcentral defender who had been at the Dons since 1998. Signed a 2-year deal through to 2006 and followed it up with a two year extension. |
![]() |
Steven Anderson | Pamela, Ando | 18-yr old ex-Arabs right-sided youth player who played a couple of trial games before signing a deal until the end of the season and extended it to May 2006. Had a decent run in the 2005-06 season at both right-back and in a back 3 before finally agreeing a further 1-yr deal in June 2006. Signed a new 1yr one in May 2007 with a 2yr extension following up in October after some good performances at centre-half. |
![]() |
Kevin James | Le Freak | 29-yr old 6ft 7 tall defender who despite skippering the Weans in 2004-05 turned down a new deal in May to sign a 2-yr contract with Saints. Two spells at Falkirk and one at the Jambos, Airdrie and Morton have seen him torment Saints continually over the years. Skipper of Saints and signed a new 2-yr deal in May 2007 |
![]() |

Paul Sheerin | Peanut | 29-yr old ex-Ayr and ICT midfielder who signed a 2-yr
deal on a free transfer in July 2004 after a spell at Aberdeen didn't
work out. Good attacker with a decent goals-to-game ratio. Signed a new 1yr deal in May 2006 and another a year later. |
![]() |
Martin Hardie | Mad Mental Martin Triple-M |
29-yr old midfielder who joined from Airdrie in Jan
2006 on a deal until the summer of 2008. A hard tackler, he almost came
to Saints a couple of times before but fitness worries prevented any
move. Previously at Partick and Killie, he's more famous for drunken
exploits up scaffolding while on a club jaunt to Blackpool during his
spell at Firhill. Easily one of the best players in the 2006-07 season. Missed a large part of 2007-08 through injury but signed a 2yr extension in April 08. |
![]() |
Kevin Moon | Mooner | Attacking midfielder who joined the groundstaff in June
2004.Played a few reserve games in 2003-04 and already has the makings
of a cult hero. Signed a new 1-yr deal in April 2005 and another a year

![]() |
Rocco Quinn | Rocco van Nistelrooy | 22yr old attacking midfielder signed on loan from
Sellik on Aug 31 2007. Loan goes through to Xmas with a view to a
permanent deal. Impressed when on loan at Killie last season and despite
not breaking through to the Sellik side yet comes with a good
reputation. Had a good loan spell with us but despite Saints and the player wanting to make it permanent a 250K price tag from Sellik killed the deal off. He still managed to return on an "emergency" loan in Feb 08 though! |
![]() |
Jody Morris | 29-yr old former Chelsea and Millwall star who signed
on a short-term deal in Feb 2008 till the end of the season. Played 129

Peter MacDonald | Big Mac Peaso |
20-yr old Huns youth policy
product signed for £125,000 on 03/08/01. Scored 16 goals for the
Huns U-21s in 2000-01 and has signed a 3-year deal. More of a poacher than an out-and-out striker he lost some respect with the Saints fans thanks to his pro-Hunnery views in the tabloids. Still has a lot to prove. Signed a new 1-yr deal in summer 2004 and followed that up with a 3-yr contract in Feb 2005. Signed on for another 2 years in 2008. |
![]() |

![]() |
Steven Milne | Savo | Ex-Scumdee 25-yr old striker who signed a 3yr deal with
Saints in June 2005 after an unsuccessful spell at Plymouth. Excellent
striker but suffered niggling knee injuries which kept him out of most

15 years at the helm and is the longest-serving chairman in
Scotland. One of the prime movers behind the new SPL but then nobody's
perfect. Recuperating after a July 2001 operation for prostate cancer he's taking more and more of a back role in the club's affairs. |
|
